Youth Local Councils: Preparing Youth to be Leaders in their Communities (video)

Through the establishment of Youth Local Councils, young people in Palestine are learning about the process of elections and the principles of democracy. Once elected, youth members undergo an intensive training program to start building the skills that they need to serve as council members. They learn about leadership, communications, action planning, organizing, fundraising and building partnerships to help address identified needs in their communities.
