Fostering Women’s Entrepreneurship at Every Stage: A Cross-regional Exchange
This event explored women’s entrepreneurship in different contexts and stages of development. Topics included programs that are working with young businesswomen in Kosovo and microentrepreneurs in rural Guatemala, insights about projects supporting urban microentrepreneurs in India and women cooperative leaders in Kenya, and the ways increased financial inclusion is bolstering women-owned small and medium enterprises in Jordan.

Engaging communities, including men and boys, in preventing violence against girls is crucial because it creates collective responsibility and shared commitment to addressing harmful gender norms, unequal power dynamics, and other root causes of violence. By involving diverse stakeholders, such as youth, families, community leaders, and local governments, we can foster a sense of ownership and mobilize individuals to act. This event featured technical and youth experts who are dedicated to ending sexual violence, human trafficking, and conflict-related violence affecting girls through locally-led solutions. The webinar was co-hosted by Global Communities and the Coalition for Adolescent Girls.
