Dennis Mello is an experienced project manager and international development professional with over 20 years’ professional experience.

Dennis’s technical focus is on gender equality and women’s empowerment, gender-transformative male engagement, promoting life skills, collective action, financial inclusion, digital financial capability and social inclusion. As Senior Director of Gender Equality, Youth and Social Inclusion at Global Communities, Dennis leads the team supporting the integration and mainstreaming of gender equality and social inclusion across the organization. Dennis also leads the implementation of Global Communities Women Empowered program which support women’s social and economic empowerment through community-based savings groups.

Dennis holds a master’s degree in International Economic Development from the University of California San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy and a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from University of California Berkeley. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Vanuatu.
