Simon Worrall brings 25 years of experience managing and coordinating a vast number of emergency response and conflict-related programs in: Afghanistan, Albania, Iraq, Kenya, Liberia, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Darfur, Sri Lanka, Syria, Turkey and Uganda. His unwavering commitment to providing resources, shelter, food security and refuge to persons in crisis is evident through his long tenure with International Rescue Committee and Norwegian Refugee Council. In both of these organizations Simon managed programs where he implemented activities and led staff to successfully execute objectives in extremely volatile and fluid security environments.
Throughout his experience, Simon has developed and maintained strong relationships with donors including USAID Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance and Food for Peace, US Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration, United Nations Humanitarian Funding and the European Commission Humanitarian Aid. His position as Country Director included managing a staff of over 900 and $50 million of programming in Syria and cross-border from Turkey and Iraq.
