In Memory of Harry McPherson
We are saddened to report that Harry McPherson, CHF Trustee, died on February 16, 2012.
Harry McPherson served as counsel and special counsel to President Lyndon B. Johnson from 1965-69, and was President Johnson’s speechwriter from 1966-69. He was instrumental in drafting the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and was deeply involved in many of the pressing political issues of the time. Harry was a great friend to CHF International and had been on our Board of Trustees since February 2008.
Along with his many family, friends and the countless lives that he touched, we remember Harry with fondness and the greatest respect.
To learn more about Harry’s life and achievements, see this article in the Washington Post.
