Jon Allen has been with Global Communities since 2004. He has worked as a field director in Colombia, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Argentina and Brazil leading programming ranging from ex-combatant social and economic reintegration to municipal governance and civil society strengthening to corporate volunteerism and community engagement.

As the Regional Director of the Americas, Jon managed a portfolio of $140 million in program funding across eight countries. In his current role as Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives, he supports the Global Programs team and the connection of its business priorities to the overall organizational strategy and direction and works across departments and units to ensure strategic priorities are effectively sequenced and integrated. Throughout his tenure, Jon has played an active role in leading and supporting strategic initiatives across the organization. He has led private sector engagement work in the field by developing corporate partnerships through CSR consultancy services and collective impact funding models. Most recently he led the proposal development and rollout of the United States Growth strategic initiative.

Jon has an MBA in International Management and prior to joining Global Communities, worked as a business process consultant for Accenture and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay.
