World Water Day 2017
World Water Day, recognized on March 22 every year, is dedicated to taking action to tackle the water crisis. More than 1.8 billion people do not have access to safe drinking water and 2.4 billion people lack access to basic sanitation. The Sustainable Development Goals, launched in 2015, include a target to ensure everyone has access to safe water and sanitation by 2030, making water a key issue in the fight to eradicate extreme poverty.
Global Communities works around the world promoting safe and adequate water supplies and sanitation to unleash the economic potential of individuals and entire communities.
