Global Communities Director of Global Communications Wins PRWeek 40 Under 40 Award
David Humphries, Director of Global Communications at Global Communities, has been named a recipient of PRWeek’s prestigious 40 Under 40 Award. The award from PRWeek, the communication industry’s premier publication, recognizes outstanding leaders in the field.
“In his tenure here of five years, David has consistently and effectively represented the work of Global Communities in stellar fashion and in a compelling way to all audiences,” said Global Communities President and CEO David A. Weiss. He added that the award also serves as a recognition of the greater efforts of Global Communities staff both at headquarters and in field offices around the world.
In a list traditionally dominated by communications leaders from major corporations and PR Agencies, Global Communities is one of only three mission-driven, non-profit organizations to be represented. The publication awarded the honor to David because of the “ferocious energy” with which he has revolutionized communications at Global Communities, reducing costs while improving performance, exponentially improving media relations and digital media, and for leading the rebrand from CHF International to Global Communities in 2012.
David says: “My job is to tell the stories of the people around the world who are striving to make a difference. Over the last five years, I’ve seen so many individuals, families and communities devastated by conflict or poverty become united and determined to change the world around them. It’s a great privilege for me to be able to work with people who show such incredible commitment to help the vulnerable to have the freedom, means and ability to live and prosper with dignity. I want to recognize their work and those people in every way I can.”
