Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Wins Nobel Peace Prize
CHF International wishes to extend congratulations to Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who won the Nobel Peace Prize on October 7, 2011. A longtime champion of economic development and women’s rights in her country, President Sirleaf has achieved tremendous strides in rebuilding Liberia after years of civil war. CHF International is proud to have worked with her in empowering the women of Liberia to make a difference for their families and their communities.
CHF supports women’s rights around the world and is also delighted to recognize two other recipients of the Prize this year, Leymah Gbowee of Liberia and Tawakul Karman of Yemen.
