Make Giving Back Go Viral
Published 12/13/2019 by Global Communities
None of us are strangers to the powerful role technology plays in our lives – or the ways in which it can distract and divide us. But this holiday season, we want to highlight how you can harness the bright lights from your phone and computer screens for good. Check out four easy ways to go global with your generosity in partnership with Project Concern International (PCI), all from the comfort of your keyboard:
Grant a Wish
This year, we put together our own wish list in advance of the holidays. We asked the families we work with all over the world to answer one question: What is your greatest wish for the children in your community? In response to all of the “wishes” we have collected, we’re issuing a challenge to our supporters: Help us reach our goal of 250 donations before December 31st by becoming a PCI Wishgiver. Big or small – every gift can make a wish come true and transform the lives of vulnerable children in the communities where we work. *(Bonus tip: You can become a Wishgiver when you donate on Facebook, too!)
Shop with a Smile
Are you in the midst of buying last-minute gifts for loved ones? Make sure to use AmazonSmile as a simple and automatic way to turn every purchase into a donation for PCI. All you have to do is go to smile.amazon.com, select “PCI – Project Concern International” as your organization to support, and start shopping! Every purchase you make could help drive meaningful and measurable change.
Use Facebook to Fundraise
Facebook offers an easy way for you to fundraise on behalf of PCI and play an even bigger role in helping us reach our goal of 250 Wishgivers. With just a few clicks, you can create a campaign to help us enhance health, end hunger, overcome hardship and advance women & girls worldwide. Simply set a goal for the amount you’d like to raise, a deadline for your network to donate, and share why PCI is important to you. Help us make giving back go viral!
Spread the Word
Beyond the shopping and opportunities to donate, we also encourage you to share updates on the life-changing work PCI is carrying out around the globe. An easy way to do so is through social media. Check out our feeds on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn, and spread the word to your friends and family to help us gain supporters. At PCI, we witness magic happen every day in our programs, and we want you to have a window into those moments.
